History

You can review your most recent actions and revert back to an earlier state of your budget at any time.

Note: Not all actions are captured for the undo/redo history. Actions that are not destructive to your budget (such as column visibility settings) are generally not available in the history.

Review History

  • In the main budget window...
  • Click on the HISTORY button (a small clock) at the top of the budget pane
  • The system will display a running history of your budget
  • Each entry describes the action taken that left the budget in that state
  • The entry in bold is the current state of your budget
    • This is usually at the top of the history unless you've been undoing actions
  • Entries below the current state show states caused by previous actions
    • If you undo an action you will be stepping down this list
  • Entries above the current state show states that were recently undone
    • If you redo an action you will be stepping up this list

Reverting a Budget

At any time you can revert the current state of your budget to a previous state by hovering over an entry in the history and clicking Revert To This Step. Your budget will be immediately updated to match the state it was in when the listed action had been taken.

You can continue to undo/redo as normal from that point in the history.

Versioning a Budget

If you have made changes to your budget but now want a separate copy of its earlier state, you can hover over an entry in the history and click + Version. A copy of your budget will be created and opened that matches the state of the budget at that point.

See the Version page for more details.

The history in a fresh version of the budget is empty.
